What is a Parking-Road Spike Barrier?

Parking-road spike barriers prevent vehicles from driving in the wrong direction on one-way roads or restricted traffic areas. If a car moves in the wrong direction and drives over the spike barrier, it punctures the tyres, limiting its movement.

Features of Parking-Road Spike Barriers

There are three types of parking-road spike barriers: embedded (flush-mount) spike barriers, speed bump spike barriers, and portable spike barriers.

• Embedded Spike Barriers are installed below the ground, with the top surface level with the road. They are ideal for parking lots and facility entrances/exits.
• Speed Bump Spike Barriers are typically 50x60 cm in size and weigh over 7 kg. They feature a safety mechanism that allows them to be deactivated, functioning only as speed bumps when needed. The body is made of PPC material.
• Portable Spike Barriers: Stored in a case or box, manually or automatically deployed when needed, and often used by law enforcement to stop fleeing suspect vehicles.

How Are Parking-Road Spike Barriers Installed?

• Embedded spike barriers require digging a hole slightly larger than the product size in concrete or asphalt. Multiple units can be placed in a row for more extended coverage. After placement, concrete is poured to secure them.
• Speed bump spike barriers are fixed onto asphalt or concrete surfaces using screws and anchors. The surface must be level and free of dirt, gravel, or debris. Installation is not recommended within 2 meters before or after a curve.
• Portable spike barriers are manually placed on the road using a handle or button mechanism. They should be used on flat surfaces and can be folded and stored in a carrying case when not in use.
